My father passed away 5 years ago and we viewed him at Ortiz on Westchester Ave under the 6train and from the beginning of the services till the time we got to the cemetery there where no problems and now 5 years later my mother is about to pass on and I pray that the same people I dealt with are still there to help make this transition go as well as when my father passed away 🙏

They also operate the funeral home named Parkchester funeral home across the street. After signing the contract they will assign unsuspecting customers a dirty,dreary,dilapidated chapel in that funeral home.The 2 females who are representing the establishment are liars lacking customer etiquette. This place is heartless. My family member was viewed on Monday. The ratchness that when on was beyond me. My cousin body was unrecognizable When we complain they had nothing to say. Don’t ever use this place. They don’t care

I would like to start by saying that Evelyn from Ortiz funeral home was very helpful and informative. She answered all of my questions and concerns. She made the whole process go nice and smooth, she really lifted some weight off my shoulders during this very difficult time for my family and I.She gave us a variety of options and I should say that all of our wishes were met. Everything went nice and smooth as it should. The ONLY complaint I have is during my dad's viewing the Family next door to us were disruptive and loud the pastor had to raise his voice in order for everyone to hear him during his prayer session. He basically had to talk over the loud music they were playing. I would also like to take this opportunity to THANK the Hearse driver for everything. He was very respectful ,professional and kind. He was very compassionate friendly and helpful during this very difficult time for my family and I. He made sure my family and I were ok. He also shared a beautiful prayer with the family for my dad before the burial began. He stayed with us during the whole burial process.. May God bless him. Very beautiful person.
