An incredible place, all the staff very friendly and with top professionals... A nice place for kids to do sports

This place is a dump! You can't use any gi you want, the gis provided are dirty and the classes are not well managed. They will put you on a contract and if you stop showing up will sell your debt to a debt collector. Avoid this place.

I cannot say enough positive things about Bronx Martial Arts Academy. I came to this dojo with zero Martial Arts experience/knowledge, feeling a little intimidated about being a woman trying a male-dominated sport (BJJ). By week 1 of taking beginner classes, I immediately felt welcomed, encouraged, and comfortable! Fast forward 7 months later, I honestly feel coming here was one of the best decisions I've made in years. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and business is conducted with the utmost professionalism. Fellow students here are warm, supportive, helpful, and overall cool people. All the professors here are fantastic- I usually take 7am classes with Prof Igor, and he consistently breaks everything down simplistically and with great detail, all the while pushing all his students to apply their best effort in every class. Professor Lou never fails to take the time to give individualized attention and to provide extra support to any student who needs it. Professor Doug routinely inspires us all with his words of wisdom, elaborating on the mindset that is necessary for maintaining the dedication, commitment, and perseverance involved in martial arts training. In general, BJJ has done wonders for my mental health-- providing an outlet for anxious energy and giving me something positive to look forward to/concentrate on. Okay I'll stop now before I write a whole novel! Conclusion: If you're contemplating joining up here at BMAA, DO IT!

Yes they just started back tiny tigers 🐅 and they start at 5 years old
Hi, the Dojo is immaculate. I took Jujitsu and generally the class is about an hour. Do it, it's a good workout.
Give them a call and set up an intro class one on one with an instructor
There is no set curriculum like in college but instructors generally have a theme for the week. Classes a much more fluid, moving at the pace of the students. All you have to do is show up. You will always get something beneficial.
Their karate program accommodates children starting at age 4. Children over the age of 6, can also enroll in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu if they would like
They work with any child :)
Not a summer camp
