This is an excellent KOA Campground located in Millersville MD. You have lots of history and shops to visit, there’s Annapolis to the east, Baltimore to the north, and Washington DC to the south. If you choose not to explore the area, you can just hang back at the campground that has plenty to do! Wooded sites and not Wooded sites available, swimming pool, hiking trails, jump pillow, play ground, outdoor Chess Game and Pool table, Bike Rentals and much more. The maintenance and house keepers do a great job keeping the place clean and running well! The office workers at registration are awesome and the store is stocked and open late. If you’re reading reviews and people mention rude staff, that’s the result of someone that’s not happy because they’re breaking the rules and got informed that. Rules are in place to keep it Clean and Safe for all

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. The staff was not friendly/helpful at ALL. My family and I live in our camper and are just passing through the DC area. Thank GOD it is only a 2 night stay. My kids went to the jump pad and I was sitting outside of my camper watching them, however the staff would not allow that. Even though, there were 3 other kids on the jump pad with no parents in sight. I was at least watching my children. Once the staff decided to tell me they could not jump unless I was STANDING at the fence line, we tried to mention that there were other children up there with no parents around and instead of having a grown up conversation, the staff decided to drive away on their golf cart in the middle of us talking to them. They were extremely rude. The staff is truly watching your every step, so if you like having baby sitters, then by all means, this is the campground for you. On top of the unfriendly staff, the facility is filthy. The pool is now open for the summer and the water is GREEN. You would think after being closed all winter, they would have had it cleaned and ready for opening week. I would NEVER stay here again, nor would I even recommend this campground to my worst enemy.

My daughter came down with a fever the day before our arrival. She also developed a cough. We called to cancel our reservations to do the right thing even though of course we were disappointed to not have our family vacation. I called ahead, but it was not 48 hours ahead. We would have called 48 hours if she fell ill the day before. I was told that I would be charged the first night. The receptionist said that she would speak to the manager and she was sure that given the circumstances, it would be refunded. I still have not been refunded and I've called several times to resolve this. I would have used the site and kept our distance if we had known that we would have not been refunded. I am very disappointed in this KOA. Seems like they would rather people come sick than encourage people to do the right thing.

After staying here, my views on this location are severely altered. Aside from the low cost and distance to the city, everything was negitve, the largest problems being with a complete lack of hot water in the showers and sink. It was also next to a large highway and a airport which isn't really the "camping adventure" anyone is looking for. While my stay was enjoyable, this was only due to my family's presence.

Yes, I suggest walking a block towards the mall for pick up, so you don't get stuck in traffic and you can save a few bucks.
KOA Shuttle bus is transportation shuttle only into DC. There is limited space to store a wheelchair. The shuttle is not wheelchair accessible.
The kids were out there using it March 6th when we were there.
All the previous are exactly right
Adults with drivers license are permitted to have them. You must have liability insurance on file.

Yes. And air conditioning .
In our region in the Mid-Atlantic, a lot of campgrounds shut down during the winter because the cost of doing business vs how much traffic they get sometimes isn't worth it. The KOA probably is closed until February. On average expect to spend $75 a night on a pull thru. Now for those who feel that that might be a little expensive let me Enlighten you on a few things 1. This KOA is the only Campground between Baltimore and DC that is accessible to both within Minutes 2. The closest campground north of DC is 30% more expensive 3. The cost of real estate in millersville + the fees that KOA charges to their franchisees makes it difficult to do business so please be thankful we still have a campground because their profit margin is well below 5% 4. the people that run this KOA are super awesome and the amenities they offer are better than most hotels so it's still in the long run cheaper to bring your own coach camper or whatever and camp vs spending $130 on a hotel
Yes they have cabin's
I would say Uber or Lyft.
