So many activities for all ages. Staff is patient and friendly. Plethora of resources. Awesome for families with small children. Courtyard tends to be a place many homeless people hang out. Kids should not play outside unattended.

This libary has a problem when it comes to the workers that work very rude. Also the seem not to be a able to deal with the homeless problem as a result they Tend to come up with poor ways to deal with it

New Rochelle residents and property owners are eligible for a library card. If you do not live in Westchester, but attend a New Rochelle school or are employed by a New Rochelle business, you are eligible to apply for a New Rochelle Public Library card. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with photo ID, and be able to hold a pen and write their names legibly. Students in middle school and high school may apply for a card on their own with current school schedule or school ID. Bring photo ID with proof of current New Rochelle residency to the library Registration Desk. Residents may use a driver’s license, New York State ID, or photo ID from a consulate or embassy. Otherwise, you may bring in photo ID and two of the following to prove residency: property tax bill, utility bill, receipt or lease, recently cancelled mail sent to your name & current New Rochelle address, or documentation of employment in New Rochelle. Hello Yuki, Yes! The Friends of NRPL organization accepts donations of books in good condition, CDs, DVDs, audio-tapes, puzzles, and games. If possible, deliveries to the Library should be made between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Please call ahead so that the volunteers can be prepared to accept the donation, (914) 813-3705. Small donations may be left in the bins in the lobby.
