The bad part about this place is pulling up and seeing slightly damaged very expensive farm implements, riding mowers, bikes, grills and toolboxes in the scrap metal area that you aren’t allowed to take and reuse. I have seen people put an entire house worth of working appliances in the scrap metal bin, as well as drop off running riding mowers, string trimmers and exercise equipment. So many things that could be reused to avoid waste, but people don’t care. Also, the amount of working bicycles I have seen with a simple flat tires is unreal. You could run a business repairing and reselling the things that these upper middle class, out of touch people throw away. Growing up very poor made me appreciate the things I had, and to not be ashamed of owning something that is a few years old and not cosmetically perfect.
