I had taken 2 seats at the bar and we found ourselves standing like cattle without anyone explaining anything to us. At first we thought we were waiting standing until places became available but no, we stayed standing the whole concert... at no time was it indicated that there were not enough room for everyone when booking. In addition, the welcome given to us by the staff was terrible, we really felt like less than nothing. The concert started 20 minutes late, and the air conditioning was really too strong. I even got yelled at when I took out my water bottle to drink water. Luckily the artist we saw was amazing which saved the evening a bit. In short, I do not recommend this jazz bar, unless you really like the artist who passes. Otherwise I think there are other jazz bars in NY where you can have a better night.

This was my first time attending and I will say that I will certainly be returning! Great atmosphere, great music, great history!

Omg good music, food and drinks, yes I'm going back. Our table was right next to the stage. The only thing I hated was that we had to wait an hour in line before the show started just to get a great seat.

Too packed

It would be acceptable to get only drinks.
Hi Clarence, For the 8 & 10:30PM shows durning the week and weekend, the music cover is per person and does not include food/drink. On Sunday we have a Jazz Brunch which is $39.50pp and includes music, entree and a drink.
And
Yes, but you must sit at a table. Minors can't sit in the bar area
yes, it is between 5-7 minutes walk from Christopher St, 9th Street and Houston Street stations, hope it helps.
I probably would arrive at 7 pm because there are not so many good seats available.
Yes they are check ticketweb or the blue note website
Sadly I didn't see any dance space. The venue is a little tight space wise but you should enjoy the show. I knew we did.
Hi Franco! While we don't have an official age policy, we do recommend that anyone under age 18 be accompanied by an adult.
Hi Adriana, you must arrive at 1:00 p.m. for the show at 1:30 p.m. It is better to buy tickets online before going. Enjoy it!! The place is excellent! Welcome to New York! A hug!
It's a tiny place so definitely call for changes.
I do not think they receive minors. It's a bar.
Yes
Second show usually starts at 10:30. A set is usually 90 minutes, give or take. I'm guessing the real reason for their hours is that without entertainment most people don't frequent the place as "just a bar". So outside of the show times, the place is pretty empty. Not a reason to stay open even later.
I would think you could show your confirmation tickets from your phone. Not everyone has a printer so that will have to be acceptable as long as the names match with your ID.
Call and ask them.
Good old ♥ American traditional live. I really enjoyed it! The performance was wonderful as well.
Not sure but all info on shows are always posted on the website.
Ticket price does not include dinner, you just get access to a table. Prices are listed on menu found on website.
Idk Google it
Children can come to see the show. You need to buy table tickets, kids can't sit in the bar seats.
$50 bucks should get you in
Several people had them.
They do not answer the phone. However, if you go online to purchase your tickets you will also see who's playing. Seating is not assigned or saved. The earlier you get there, the better choice you have. All seating are good seats. 👍
They fill the place. Buy tickets ahead and get there 30 - 60 minutes early to get a table close to the stage.
There's generally always a cover charge that changes from band to band. It can be anywhere from about $25-75. They also often have a late show by a different artist and that usually costs $10-20 or thereabouts. The tables cost more than the bar area..but if you can afford it I'd recommend the table seating cause you can see and hear the show much better than at the bar. PS... I also recommend buying your table or bar ticket before the day of the show cause some shows sell out way in advance. As well as you should get on line about 30-45 minutes before the show cause that's when the line starts forming before most shows. Pps..when you purchase your tickets your name will be at the door on the night of the show. They don't send you actual tickets. You just give your name when they start asking the people on line and when you get inside a host will take you to the tables. The earlier you get there the better the table you can pick.
Hi Lolo, you have reserved seats but it is first come first serve seating. We recommend arriving at 6PM for the 8PM show. Or arrive at 9:45PM for the 10:30PM show.
Hi Letty -- You can see our menu here: http://www.bluenotejazz.com/newyork/foodmenu/foodmenu.pdf. Seating is first come, first serve. Doors open at 6PM for an 8PM show, it's best to arrive early to get a seat you like and have time to eat before the show begins! We look forward to having you visit us.
Hi Milena! Thank you for your question. Weekend brunch show times are at 11:30AM & 1:30PM. Brunch is served from 10:30AM-3:00PM. $39.50 includes brunch, the show and a drink.
$45 for you and the people with you. You don't pay for the full table, not for the other guests at your table :)
go to the website to make a free reservation
Hello, I have seen families at Blue note The bar area would not be the right one, the tables are better, there are food and drinks with and without alcohol. I honestly do not know if they charge minors.
Yes you can sit in the bar area. Don't remember prices on drinks. But the place is pricey, good and worth the money but pricey.
No balcony, but there is seating that is slightly elevated above the floor tables. Costs depend upon the act for the evening.
This depends on the popularity of the act playing tonight. If tickets sell out ahead of the performance, you can try going to the venue early to secure a spot. Most nights this is not an issue...but it happens.
I would go see that.... but that question more geared for the production/events manager
20 to 40 dollars
No but I think you can find the calendar on their website
Call the venue. But most likely it will not be cancelled.
the site has all the information
Yes, children are allowed, but you must sit at a table. Minors can't sit in the bar area. In Spanish: Yes, children are allowed, but you must sit at a table. Minors cannot sit in the bar area.
Admission fee
Bob James Trio performed
You can reserve and buy your ticket on line. You can also reserve parking right across the street and prepay on line. Very convenient. Love the late show
Not sure, but it is very easy to make a reservation by phone.
Dinner is available to everyone at the club. If you plan to eat, try to be early for the set.
Yes there's a cover charge all the time. Even to stand at the bar.
No
Go on the blue note website, make a table reservation, and then show up a bit earlier than you might normally to ensure you get 4 seats together.
They have a 21 age restriction at the bar. As for the tables you should call ahead and ask.
you have to reach the club with the metro... 2 steps and you are there! :) The club does not have a parking.
Antonio, go to the Blue Note website. There you have all the information and you can buy online with your credit card
Call a reserve a table.
The truth is that I do not know. They do not ask for identification at the door and it is a place where you can have dinner, so I guess that would not be a problem
Yes , but don't give a drink for her , just milk
As per Blue Note FAQ on their web-site "tables seating is all ages. Bar 21+"
If you pay American Express on the website, you would get the best table.
Ray Charles doesn't play at the blue note, the blue note plays ray Charles!
Across the street
Yes, this is a legendary place. Check the website, anybody who is anyone plays here.
Yes. I believe the doors open at 6:30
You can find their calendar of shows on the club's website.
There are walk in but if the show is sold out then you must wait until something like 15 minutes prior to the show for the people who purchased tickets to be declared no shows. That can entail standing around for a long time.
No. But you need stay away from the bar. The legal drinking age In NYC is 21 years old.
Some performances can range from $50 to $90 per person. Drinks are from $16.
You can actually go online and check the show schedule, also there are Blue Note Jazz clubs in other states and countries...
