To request a book, you need to have a library card in Suffolk County. Then you can search the library catalogue online and request the book from there or call/visit the reference desk. The librarians will be able to put the book on hold if your card is in good standing and you can pick it up from the Hold Shelf when it is available. If the book is not available within the Suffolk County catalogue, they can try an interlibrary loan from Nassau County or you can fill out a patron request/collection development form.

Call the library if you don't find a way to register on their website. I think they don't start until February.

The Yellow Barn used bookstore is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 2pm from May to October (as well as select Saturdays). There are also books for sale in the Lower Stacks of the library during normal hours that can be paid for at circulation.
