If you need the benefits don’t waste your time calling they’ll never pick up, my guess is that’s the way to keep it less crowded. However, Show up on Monday instead, they’ll make you an appointment for you to come back the week after and get whatever they need to give you ( diapers, food ) but I have to say this, the staff was friendly and helpful. They don’t give you attitude so don’t give them a hard time. Wait outside for them to call you and just be patient.

Hi you can reach us at frontdesk.thehopeline.org we will do our best to get back to you in a timely fashion. We make appointments for both our food pantry and diaper center today, mondays, starting at 9:30am if you would like to call. 718-402-1212.
Yes, you call to get a pantry ... but because of the pandemic you must first call and they will give you the date ... and only on days. Mondays, appointments are made from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Yes, call monday for appoiment
you have to call them on teusday to schedule an appointment i think
By appointment the hopeline provides food through the food pantry, helps people enroll in SNAP and provides diapers and baby products free of cost.
I think it has to be the day of the appointment I swear. Call to see what they say
Hi, thank you for your question. We are a small organization that have very simple requirements of our clientele in order to afford to provide them with such a unique commodity, such as diapers. We pride ourselves at being able to accommodate people with all types of backgrounds and therefore if someone does not have WIC and/or SNAP we do base our findings on an individual case by case. But we are very fair in how we treat everyone and in fact have even assisted expecting moms without wic or food stamps as they come to our food pantry as a one time exception. Typically expecting moms or very new moms are transitioning into receiving assistance and this temporary help helps them until they receive wic or snap. But again, our simple requirement is necessary in allowing us to help as many people as possible. If you feel you have special circumstance please call us at 718-402-1212. thank you
Hi Arely I am sorry you have had a rough experience. We certainly do pick up the phones as we make nearly 400 appointment every single week. We are a small staff and have thousands of clients that are seeking our assistance every week. We are also one of the main Diaper programs in the Bronx which makes the demand on our services even more overwhelming. If you are seeking an appointment you are able to come in person but ONLY during the times we make those appointments not at any time. For diapers you can walk in or call Mondays starting at 9:30 (we cannot guarantee how quickly those appts will run out). For the food pantry only its also Mondays starting at 9:30 as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays 2 to 5pm.
