This place is near and dear to my heart. Been camping there since I was a wee yun; the feeling of community is palpable and a bunch of resources are available. Bathrooms with multiple stalls and showers, a great playground, well-maintained land. Careful about getting a site for yourself though, as I believe there are no more vacancies.

Buck "lake" is somewhat of a misnomer. Buck pond would be more accurate. In August its buck mudhole. Swiming is impractical. That being said, the campground is maintained. It's quiet. Rowdies are discouraged. Kid safe, although I'm not sure if there is anything there for them to do, so you might have to entertain the little darlings yourself.

My family and I love Buck lake. In fact we just bought a camp site there. Everyone treats you like family. Would recommend to all. Thanks Buck lake

It's a private campground
Only to members or guests of members.
You can but it's advised that you shower promptly after due to the trees that "shed" into the lake.
