My grandma was referred to this office (an orthopedic surgeon specifically) by the NYU Langone Emergency department. Despite submitting all the insurance information ahead of time, once we got there they couldn't verify her insurance and turned her away. She's 88 with a broken leg.

My name is Mohammad and I just got back from my mothers knee/Gastro appt. We had to go to the fourth floor to see the doctor after her images were done for her knee. Upon arrival on the fourth floor the staff was really good. My mother seen the doctor who was very knowledgeable and answered her questions. On the way out in the lobby we were met with a lady who was on the fourth floor and started to ask my mom about her visit. My mom told her we were going to the next appt scheduled for later in the day with several hours in between. The lady automatically took it upon herself to try to fill that void and have my mom seen sooner then later. She told my mom to sit as I went to the desk with her and she ended up finding out that my moms gastro appt is scheduled with NYU on 1st Ave in Manhattan and not at the bayridge location. She told us to take a seat, made several calls and ran around trying to get us an appt here so it wouldn’t inconvenience my mother due to her knees/travel. In about 5-7 minutes she came back with an appt for next week at the bayridge location. She found a doctor that is willingly to see my mom for a checkup that they normally don’t even do at this bayridge location. My mother was so thrilled and thankful and so was I. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE GO SO ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! I ASKED HER FOR HER NAME AND SHE TOLD ME IT WAS MARY. I ALSO ASKED ABOUT THE TITLE BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS AND SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS A MANAGER! … I myself work at a hospital and you rarely get to see that type of care and hospitality. MY MOTHER AND I WERE SO IMPRESSED! … SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON TO TALK WITH AND SO CARING IN HER WORDS BUT BETTER YET HER ACTIONS!!! I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT THIS WAS A MUST!…IF ONLY EVERY HOSPITAL OR MEDICAL VISIT CAN BE LIKE THIS FOR EVERYONE. THANK YOU MARY FROM MY MOTHER AND I!.

Awful check in process! I wait sometimes 30min before they check me in. Regularly wait over an hour for appointments to start. The appointments go later then the blood test department is open. So, quite often I finish my doctor appointment and have to come back another day to have blood drawn. Horrible Inefficient system !

Yes, the new Bivalent is at NYU Langone
There is quest on 76st & 4th Avenue
Although you don't technically need to make an appointment for xray, it is preferred to have one due to the fact that sometimes there might not be any availability or opening for walk-in xray. You might come across a situation where you will have to wait for an hour or two, hence that is why it is preferred to have an appointment.. need to make an appointment. You can call in or make an appointment on your nyu mychart app or online.
Call them or go there.
