Horrid experience. Dr. Shemen's bedside manner is incredibly unpleasant. He was unnecessarily rude, rough, and dismissive. He lacks the patience required for a good and assuring doctor visit. I ended up leaving mid appointment because I did not feel safe or comfortable.

Enlarged tonsils, in itself, is not an indication for surgery unless it causes airway obstruction or marked difficulty swallowing. Tumors or repeated infections and other specific conditions so merit surgery. I'm not sure I understand the second question.
