My rental agreement was not honored on the day I showed up to get my reserved vehicle. They had no cars. We had prepaid tickets on a cruise ship three hours away by car. Later, after reaching Hertz Corporate HQ, they apologized and offered nominal compensation based on the difference paid on transportation taken during the original booking dates with Hertz. Update: Two months later, we did finally receive a delivery of the promises made by Hertz HQ. We wanted to give a shout out to Frederic, the Hertz employee in QC. He didn’t have to, but he went out of his way to help us. We are grateful of his diligence and professionalism.

If I could rate this company zero stars I would. Do NOT rent from them. They don’t deserve your business. I filed a BBB complaint and they offered a discount on a future rental. Why would I want to rent from them again? I reserved a van a month in advance but when I got to Hertz they said they didn’t have a van. I ended up having to spend more money for the trip.
