I was pleasantly surprised by the number and variety of animals in this small, free zoo. There are plenty to see, it's worth the visit!

Zoo can be closed and park still open,,, when I lived there park was open sun up till sun down,,,zoo closes in winter

I don't believe they are pet friendly on account of the peacocks they have walking free range around the place, that and they have a leopard, it's in an enclosure but taking a dog would be a very bad idea, can get under the fencing rather easily

No. No outside animals are allowed in the zoo. Except service animals of course. However the park surrounding the zoo has good dog walking areas including a dog park.
