Working with David was a blast! He showed me with a ruler the relevant measurements on my violin. Explained everything clearly and gave recommendations appropriate to my limited budget. He cut me a bridge and fixed up the soundpost, and my violin sounds so much better! Will definitely come back!

If there’s a 5+ rating I would give David that. David has been taking care of my violins for the past few years. Including the people I referred to David, everyone is more than satisfied by his service and expertise. Just bought another antique violin there (Andrew Hyde , Northampton Massachusetts, A.D. 1907). As always, David has the best value/price after comparing with a professional luthier shops. Very quick turn around, I got my violin in a day. You will not be disappointed!!

Love this man who knows exactly how to take care of my violin. He is very detail-oriented when crafted each pegs for me and retouch varnish on even unnoticeable dots and on the side. Dave is very friendly, honest and couldn't be more knowledgeable. Also tried two of his handmade concert violins, very rich and smooth, definitely are great pieces of art and worth checking them out!

Thank you for your inquiry. I am serious about protecting my clients' health. This building follows all recommended procedures for social distancing, sanitizing and masks. Elevators are plentiful, assuring that no one has to share, and wait time is minimal. In my shop, I sanitize the air with a UV-C lamp after each customer visit to kill germs and virus. I also employ 24-hour HEPA filtration and UV-C sanitizing with the same Trusens units used by health care professionals. I wear a mask during each and every client's visit. Complimentary KN-95 masks available, along with great hand sanitizer made by violinmakers!

Dear Mr. Bonsey, Around 1955 -1965 I sold a Testore violin to a violin dealer in your vicinity. Unfortunately I do not remember who the dealer was. Is there a way I might be able to track this instrument? Cordially, Alvin Lucier
