A friend recommended Dr. Smith to me after my other endo was ignoring how I actually was feeling and just going off what the blood work numbers said. He is extremely thorough. Be prepared to spend an hour talking to him about how you feel, when you feel that way, what bothers you the most, ...he asked me questions my other doctor never even asked or never though was a concern. I just saw him for my second visit and I feel he listened to me and how I was feeling than just going "oh well these numbers are kind of in the normal range so off you go".

I have only had one appointment with Dr. Stephen Smith. I was absolutely amazed at how much time he took with me going over the information that he requested. He knows his specialty AND how to use a Blood work lab report to spot indicators of good health and possible problems. He requested additional information and we will be reviewing this information this week. Most other doctors are so rushed, you do not get this kind of attention. I am fortunate that I found Dr. Stephen on the Medicare web site under Endocrinologist SOLO Practice. All the other Endocrinologist on Medicare's web site for my area of the city are in large group offices. I had a hard time even contacting the receptionist or office manager, since NO ONE WAS ANSWERING THE PHONE(S). At Dr. Stephens the office people are knowledgeable, answer the phone AND your questions. IF you call in, they also follow up to make sure that your tests are brought to Dr. Stephen's attention. They are also knowledgeable about medical HIPPA rules and made my life so much easier, by requesting my Dexa scan be sent DIRECTLY to the doctor's office. The office staffer also followed up and called me to let me know that my reports had arrived and were in my chart. Although I am new to Dr. Stephen, so far it has been a refreshingly wonderful experience. Dr. Stephen knows medicine in general and his area in particular and is willing to share information with you. I feel fortunate to have met this doctor.

Couldn't even get an appointment because the nasty woman who answered the phone was so rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't even consider going to that office after being treated so poorly on the phone.
