The program is free to members of the Carpenters Union. As an Apprentice, you are required to attend 4 classes per year and the rest of your training is on the job. As Mr Foster stated, you can continue to attend classes as a Journeyman to increase your skills and marketability. The more training a person has, the more Contractors will want to hire you.
Call the hall and speak with Bo Garrett, he can answer your questions.
Yes. We welcome everyone that is willing and able to do the job.
Gordon is actually incorrect. As an apprentice they do provide a hotel while you attend class for anyone over I believe 50 miles away. They also pay for milage and 20$ a day while in class.
Contact the Hall, they will have the information for you.
Call the hall and talk to Gilbert directly our office manager or go online on the official Carpenters Union 225 website
Contact the Training Coordinator, Anthony Valdez to set up a day and time for evaluation.
Check the training schedule on the website for the weekend classes.
You will need to get your degree or take GED, we use math every day in our work, call the hall and talk to our instructors they will walk you through the process.

Yes, of course you can, and yes ,you are paid the minute you start working for one of the union company. You need to document your hours for every month that you work for these companies and make sure that you follow the schedule and training program. we would be honored and love to have you a part of our program of the people that make things happen.
You will need to call the office and speak with our staff, your experience and ability to run jobs should be an asset to your earning potential.
He needs to come to the union hall and apply and yes they act as a job placement. When you finish a job you get on the books and they place you at another job.
