Gunnison broke my asphalt driveway and lied and denied when I showed the leader of the job (Bobby Bowen) the break and truck tire tracks over the break, he and his accomplice couldn’t see it.

This has undoubtedly been the worst experience I have ever had with a company...ever. First, they refused to call us to schedule a time when they would be performing the work, even after being told several times to call first...no call. Second, they sent 1 invoice to an email address that was not active. When it obviously bounced...they never called. They never sent a paper invoice. Nothing. Until today... My daughter, who had absolutely nothing to do with the contract with Gunnison, and who is an adult living on her own...received an email from an attorney threatening a lawsuit if the bill was not paid in full...within hours. Here is a copy of the correspondence: "As you are aware, our firm represents Gunnison Tree Services, LLC regarding the outstanding invoice of $XXX. Your case has officially run its course and I’ve been asked to make a final decision. At this time, you are required to remit payment before 5:00 p.m. (CST) today, prior to our firm seeking suit and judgement. You may contact me toll free @ 866-XXX-XXXX ext. XXX. Please make your payment via bank wire and email me back with confirmation of receipt. Please note, you may be subject to reasonable court cost and attorney fees. This final demand will be uploaded to your case file for proceeding purposes. No additional demand will be sent. ***We do not offer out of court payment arrangements.***" I was NOT "aware" that Gunnison had a law firm. My "case has officially run its course" - what case? I never...ever received correspondence from this company. Yet they were able to find my daughter's personal email address...when my business and business email address were readily available. Do I begrudge paying the bill? No, not at all. I am a small business owner myself...and I pay my bills like I expect my clients to pay their bills. But to go 9 months with no good faith effort on Gunnison's part to resolve this...and then threaten a lawsuit within 5 hours of receipt of an email forwarded to me from my daughter? Shame on the whole bunch of them. If I could give them a negative 5 rating I would. Fully unprofessional, and never even completed the tasks on the contract. Despicable. I cannot caution you any stronger to do business elsewhere.

Edit: I didn’t hire this company; they were contracted by GA Power to trim trees in my neighborhood. In my yard, they dropped an oak limb on my internet cable, which had to be restrung by the cable company, and did $250 of damage to some personal property, which they never paid for. The supervisor on scene was so apologetic, but I never heard from them once I sent the receipt for replacement costs. They also mangled several of our trees that were nowhere near the power lines. The next day, they dropped a limb on the power line three houses away from mine, blowing a transformer and causing an electrical fire; the tree trimmers jumped in their truck and ran. They’re back in my neighborhood today dropping more limbs on power lines; even the subcontractors that don’t work for Gunnison know how terrible they are at trimming trees for GA Power.

Dominion should be ashamed of this group. I have called their office and never received a response. They trimmed trees around our power lines and left everything and did not clean up anything. Proceeded to get on our car port without talking to anyone. Left A fire concern now. Gunnison management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this.
