AARP is planning to do tax help by appointment only starting sometime in March at Sherwood Library. For those needing tax help sooner we suggest filing online yourself or using other tax preparation services.

AARP is there in Conference Room #4 on the second level with tax preparation help. They're there Mon-Sat 10:15- 2, and in the evenings Mon-Thurs or Fri. You can also check www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library for more info on the events page, or call the library and press #4 for info. Hope this helps!

Hi Chawanna, No, Fairfax County Libraries do not offer notary service. However, you can check with your local bank or other financial institutions in the area which usually offers notary service. Sherwood Regional Library
Sherwood Library hosts English Conversation Classes several times a week. The UCM volunteers do not teach English but help people to learn how to speak in English. There is no registration and no fee. Many library branches have English Conversation classes. Sherwood classes are every Thursday at 10:30 AM, Every Thursday at 7:00PM and Every Friday at 10:30 AM.
According to the library's online catalog we have several books by Raina Telgemeier but unfortunately not a collection of her work in one volume. Please feel free to call your local library to check these books out or put them on reserve. -Linda
