Booked this place on a whim while trying to find a place to do some naturing. I was able to text them and they replied quickly to my questions before and after booking. Unfortunately, the lake is closed but just being out there in the cabin surrounded by nature was helpful to my mental health. It really is like a " Hideaway". Anyone we came across was friendly, especially staff. I'm forgetting her name, even though I asked her right before I left but she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Will come back and recommend for sure! The cabin was CLEAN, looks almost brand new and it was comfortable.

I absolutely loved this little place! It was so quiet and calm. The owners were so courteous, friendly and nice. The pool is small and was always full but it was clean. Restrooms and showers were also clean. I have nothing negative to say about this place. We will definitely be back.

By far one of the best places to visit in the hill county! Whether you’re looking for peace and quiet or fun with new friends in the gorgeous pool, you can find it here! The owners are amazing. The general store has a little bit of everything. The cabins are clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back, and next time with more friends and family.

I cannot say enough good things about Al’s Hideaway! My sister treated me to a weekend away and I happened to find this place on Airbnb. I am so thankful this is the place we went to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in a cabin and had her dog with us. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. We felt so relaxed from the moment we got there and were sad we didn’t get to stay longer! The owners are fantastic! We enjoyed several conversations with them and knew they were available if we needed anything. The pool and pavilion area were both fantastic! Everything you need to grill and relax poolside! I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is, but instead I’m going to encourage you to go see it for yourself! It really is a little slice of paradise hidden away in the beautiful hill country. We will definitely be coming back!! (Picture is the view from our porch!)

This is a absaloutly beautiful place to camp, rent a tee pee, RV park, or rent one of their 6 cabins. We rented the entire 20 acres for our daughters wedding. The pavilion can seat appx 100 people it has a huge BBQ grill it also has a bar setting if you want alcohol included with an ice maker, sink and food preparation area. The owners are very nice and extremely helpful with setting up the pavillian for a casual event and it can also be elegant. We stayed in a cabin emaculetly clean with a king size bed, a futon our grand daughter loved. It the best place to go for a hideaway to escape city crowds. It has is full woods of trees, some deer may travel through. You can go hiking, dirt biking, and rent horses from a local neighbor. I will deffinitly return here for a short weekend. If you go during the week your odds of being the only guest are great or you may meet some new people. Thank you for the amazing retreate we will see you again soon..
They are a canvas tipi with a queen bed in them
Yes very pet friendly... They love all dogs... We stayed with our english mastiff.
Yes, you can. Make sure they are secure in your tent at bedtime. Deer and other critters are out in late hours and .sometimes pets are not used to it and they try to chase them.
Yes. They are lovely. We'll definitely stay there when in that area again
Just call them and make a reservation. Either you can stay in there teepee's, cabins, or take your own rv or camping tent. It is a great place.
