Best library in the city. The staffs are super friendly and go beyond their ways to help someone. The library itself has amazing selection of books.

I recently moved to Virginia (zip 20109) but I have been utilizing this library for a month now. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. Patrons are respectful of each other as well. I enjoy using the Study Areas and access to the internet is super! Kudos to all!

As of November 6, 2020, Central Library is still closed for renovations. We hope to reopen later this month. Once we reopen, computers will be available without an appointment. Visit www.pwcgov.org/library for more information when Central will be reopening.

From library website: Generally, the Friends of the Library accept donations of clean, undamaged books, magazines, audiobooks, videocassettes, DVDs, records and cassettes, and computer software. The Friends will also accept textbooks not older than 5 years, complete encyclopedia sets not older than 10 years, reference books not older than 10 years unless they are collectibles, and computer books not older than 5 years. Please check with the Friends of the Library for additional information.
