They offer free tours to the public so you can see what happens to your recycling once it leaves your bin. Fun and informative!

I’m a female recycling truck driver that comes to the center to empty my truck daily and the workers at this company are unorganized and unprofessional, their isn’t anybody at the weight entrance to direct where the drivers should go. The workers that direct the truck need to be retrained and closely observed. The workers allow the drivers that they know for a long time to do what ever they want to do.

Reuse/repurpose or drop-off at the supermarket if appropriate.
Depends on which type you want. If you one a 22 gallon blue bin for cans and bottles then you can order them online at: www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/depwebstore/subcatalog.aspx?catalog_id=1 Otherwise you will have to call 311 for other types.
As I know, yes. They do open on Sunday. But close early
As I recall, they don't have food decompose. But you can get one from fresh field or wholefoods, and build them on your backyard. May not worth though
You need to separate the aluminum, paper and, ground coffee into separate components beforehand. The aluminum and paper can be recycled like everything else but the organic portion (ground coffee) can be composted or thrown in the trash. Ground coffee is rich in nitrogen so don't go overboard and dump all of it on your plants because they'll die from nitrogen toxicity.
Yes.
Hello Ida, I work for the county, UDR (Unity Recycling and Disposal). Yes the milk cartons are waxed coated. They go with the paper and cardboard recyclables.
You would have to call them I'm not sure I was there to picking up from them
Yes- if wood it goes to trash. If metal it would go to scrap metal. Ask anyone on site and they can point you in the right direction.

Just dropped off some broken usb cables and other wiring. It goes in the "Misc" bin at the electronics drop off.
Yes I believe so... Happy New Year
As long as the books are all paper, they can be recycled with "Mixed Paper". Landline telephones should go to electronics recycling.

Split rails are wood, generally chemically treated, so they can't be mulched. These would go in the landfill trash. OR, the Poolesville dump known as "The Beauty Spot" (google that) would gladly take them. They prefer to only take wood & other burn-able trash. What they burn powers the Dickerson power plant. Sadly, they are only open one day per week Sat from (?) 9 to 3 pm. Need Montgomery County i.d. to use dump.
Yes you can. When you get there, ask for the exact location to drop them off
