I thought it was overpriced but on the other hand there was alot to see and read about. You could spend hours there

We just poked our heads in here. Looked like a fun local history place. We thought about the self guided tour but decided to move on. The staff was very friendly though and gave us a lot of good advice on where to go for other historic places nearby.

Questions & Answers

Over at Cherokee Lake there are several brick structures with Iron threaded rods coming out of them. As a former sawmill employee these several structures remind me of the way a sawmill would be laid out by an engineer. Have you any reference?

Yes. The Cherokee Sawmill Company operated a sawmill there in the early twentieth century. That is why this (mostly) man-made lake exists and why a train runs through the middle of it.
