This is a great example of hardworking owners doing all the right things to make this place a success. The location was wonderful, the rooms were nice and the staff was great. We loved hanging out in the morning in the brisk fall air reading a book and drinking some coffee in one of the plentiful chairs on the bay. The local restaurants (there are two or three within walking distance) were all very good and purely local (food, ambiance and staff). We ate in the restaurant in the inn one night and it was nice. They were clearly way understaffed and it took a long time for the food to come out but you can only do what you can do in those situations. The food was a 7 out of 10 with most aspects being great and probably the only mediocre item was my steak. Cooked okay but was a not hot by the time we got it and was sitting in a pool of water (not butter) - probably from green beans on the dish. I still enjoyed it as I'm not all that picky thus the five stars but a foodie would have been bothered. Staffing is really the only issue. No breakfast available (probably staffing), no bar service until the afternoon (probably staffing) but there is at least one local breakfast place - Two If By Sea, that is awesome. We rented kayaks next door which I would highly recommend as it is a great bay area for kayaking. Overall definitely 5 stars.

This is a review of the restaurant, as we only ate and did not stay at the inn, but great environment, and view!! Food was great! We visited just for the restaurant and the true reason for 5 stars is the staff and going above and beyond for their customers. Murielle (hope I spelled that right) is a true gem and our hero of the night!! Definitely worth a visit if not for any other reason then to support such a great staff!

Fantastic food and some of the best views in the Chesapeake. Ordered a sirloin and my partner ordered a fried chicken dinner. We shared both and an appetizer of deviled eggs w/ crab. Would recommend and will be back again!
