When our veterinarian sent us to see Dr. Dobbins, a specialist at Hickory, we weren't sure what to expect. The waiting room was large and airy with plenty of seating and space, and the atmosphere was quiet and calm. We were greeted warmly by the staff behind the desk and updated about wait time. We didn't have to wait long beyond our appointment time and we understood that emergencies happen. The Vet tech who escorted us back to the exam room, was gentle and reassuring as she took Sasha's vitals and asked us questions. Dr. Dobbins had read all of our Vet's notes and exrays. She was thorough and gentle as she examined Sasha. She requested more exrays and an ultrasound. Dr. Dobbins wanted to discuss the exrays with the radiologist before discussing options. We were informed every step of the way. Dr. Dobbins called to check on Sasha and then called with the exray results. She also called our Vet to update her. We felt cared for and respected every step of the way. We would highly recommend Hickory. * Although we have a different pet insurance plan, a huge plus is that HVH works with Trupanion pet insurance.
