Back in May I had paid to get some glass ordered for replacement. At first service seemed to be good. After they took my money, they have not replaced the glass. I been trying to get in touch with them for awhile phone calls and emails now with no success. Once, I was promised they would call me back but that never happened. Highly disappointed with this company. I WANT MY REFUND!

They came quickly to take measurements for a window I wanted replaced. Was told Ashley would contact shortly with an estimate. Over next couple days .Nothing. I call the office twice no answer and leave message nothing. Text the person who took the measurements he gets back says Ashley is busy but in 45 mins he’ll be in office and have her get me an estimate. Nothing… last attempt, I call and get Ashley she says she is running errands but when she gets back will call me with the estimate….. and then nothing. They started strong but then seemed uninterested in my business. Disappointing, I as a customer shouldn’t be chasing them to give them my money. Calling someone else.

Questions & Answers

How long after my windshield gets replaced can I drive away?

Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022

Currently, most Glass Doctor locations use urethane with a one-hour safe drive-away time from when the new windshield gets set. No need for blue tape or any holds on washing your car. You are fully protected at the 60-minute mark. Please be sure to check with your local Glass Doctor to ensure the type of urethane being used.

Can you cut tempered glass?

Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022
Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022

Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken to reduce the risk of significant injuries to the person breaking it. Using safety glass, of which “tempered” is one type, is mandated by state building codes in specific applications like doors, sidelights, showers, etc. Please call Glass Doctor if you want more information on this topic.

Do you replace sliding door rollers?

Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022

Yes! We do replace rollers if needed. Of course, we try to clean the tracks and rollers and adjust first. If that does not work, we will discuss replacing the rollers for you.

Can you buff scratches out of glass?

Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022
Glass Doctor of Tucson | May 22, 2022

Scratch removal in residential glass and light commercial applications is not a commercially viable solution. Basically, it is labor-intensive and not very successful. Furthermore, if the customer is not satisfied with the result, they are understandably not willing to pay for the time and materials invested by the glass company. Scratch removal and scratch buffing systems exist; however, they are typically only practical in warehouses, industrial, and on larger commercial glass projects. Please call our Glass Doctor office if you would like a more detailed explanation.
