When I called , I was holding on for a receiver for about 30mins. I was there at 3:45pm and left at 4pm. Service was good. Polite staff.

The line went fast, the security guard was very friendly to everyone and the woman at the desk who helped me was also very friendly. I was in and out quickly! I was pleasantly surprised by how fast it was. I was prepared to wait a while and didn't have to!

Depends on the location. The one in White Marsh, MD doesn't require an appointment but the one in Towson does. I would call in advance to find out.

You will receive your check and he will get his. They do not increase your check until he DIES. THEN you get bumped up to getting either ALL or most of his amount each month, but I think they drop your check.

The SS in Rosedale is always busy. In order to get widow benefits they need to see the marriage certificate. Can I drop it off at their drop box? The wait times are really bad. Been there three times. They don't work hard thats for sure.

Call the 1800 number and ask if u can mail in or get there by 730 am before they open and like the fist 5 to 10 people in line I was there today for like less then 40 min to get social security card
