The quintessential book store. It's rare to find bookstores anymore that allow you to meander from room to room and get lost in exploring genre after genre. I could easily spend a couple hours here then enjoy my selections on the bench out front....oh...I actually did!

This bookstore is superbly cozy and a delight to lose yourself in. With an incredible selection of books from all subjects and eras, there’s plenty for everyone to get excited over. Additionally, the prices are quite reasonable, so you can justify a big stack of impulse reading! I see from other reviews that there is a cat, but I did not see the cat when I was there with my friend. All the more reason to come back :-)

Hi, from 10am-1pm only one person or group of people is allowed in store. You schedule your visit at thebookescape.com . After 1, only 6 people are allowed in the store at one time. We also leave the door open when possible to let fresh air in, and have hand sanitzer. Masks required, of course.

Hi, yes, we have a nice copy of the book for $4.00. And as Ben said, we also have a searchable data base on our website, but many of the books in the shelves are not in the data base, so good that you asked.

I'm not sure whether there is a public parking lot. There is some on street parking midday. Best options are using the Charm City circulator to Federal Hill it's absolutely free with nearby stops to the book escape store! Great location for used books very organized!
They have a search inventory function on their website. As of right now as I type, they have a copy in stock in fine condition. If that sells, they cam obtain a copy of the book for you. They're really great people to work with!
