I lived here for one year, and just moved out. This place is beautiful and has some really great people working their concierge and maintenance, but that is all I can say that I liked about living here. The bedrooms had no windows, the living room windows barely opened, I felt like I was in a little luxury prison. The amenities were a nightmare to access and the leasing staff are impossible to get ahold of. There is never parking passes available in their garage so we had to park blocks away. We were incorrectly charged multiple times on our overall ledger, and when we contacted them they never responded. They took off the large charge, but I couldn't tell you if they took off the smaller charges. I don't think any email I sent to the leasing office or managers ever got a response. When there was loud construction upstairs, I was never notified or given a timeline, leaving me to work from home with drilling sounds constantly going. Upon move in, multiple appliances were not functional. I wish I could recommend living here, but I can't. Maybe it would be worth it if the rent wasn't atrocious. I'll end on a positive note and say that the neighbors are nice, and lots of friendly dogs live here. Plus, it has Dominion Brewhouse and Safeway right next door so I could always easily walk to a quick meal or drink.

I've been waiting a year to write this review in hopes that the sentiment from the start would shift (apartment was filthy when we moved in and had to argue to get it cleaned). Although after a year the highline kinda grew on me, it wasn't enough to make me stay. I'm going to list the pros and cons I wish someone would've told me prior to moving in. Pros: - Maintenance staff is helpful and responsive. It's typically easy to get same day service. - Study spaces are a life saver especially if you work from home or you're a student. - Daniel who is now on the leasing team actually knows what's going on and is genuinely kind and helpful. - This complex is in a prime location which is a gift and a curse. - The one bedroom models are nice and seem more functional than the others. I’d suggest picking a top floor unit since the living room windows open. Cons: - There isn't central air conditioning which means in a two bedroom there's an actual air unit in the living room and in the master bedroom. But the second bedroom does not have a proper vent, instead it receives overflow air from the master bedroom so the room was quite literally hot year round. You’ll notice the same type of vents in the study rooms which also run hot year round. - We lived on the 7th floor so our living room windows did open but not having windows in the bedroom was very depressing especially in the winter. - The leasing office does not respond to calls or emails so your best bet is pulling up and even then good luck solving your issues. My neighbors put me on to checking the monthly ledgers because often there’s unwarranted fees. - While the location is prime, it's too active. I've seen it all and don't believe there's enough security for residents ie women being followed, indecent exposure and so on. - The overflow garage is in narnia. - Last but not lease, the apartments don't make a lot of sense functionality wise because it's a converted government building. So simple things like having a bathroom fan, closet lighting, and garbage disposals to name a few are non-existent.

Very unresponsive and very rude. I have been calling and calling and emailing to schedule a tour for an immediate move-in, with no reply. The Leasing Agent is never available. My friend was available to tour on a scheduled date, and the leasing agent (Destiny) was more than 30 minutes late for the tour, unapologetic and extremely argumentative. Also the reviews on here for 5 stars are fake profiles.

I lived here for a year and a half and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were extremely responsive and attentive and did their best to keep the building in good condition. Maintenance tickets were handled quickly and the amenity spaces like the gym and Moroccan sunroom were always kept clean. Never had an issue with insects or pests. Loved the fact that they had an Amazon locker and package room. Plus you can easily walk to all the stores and the mall nearby so that was super convenient- saved a ton on gas! The only thing is the windows in my unit didn’t open and I didn’t have windows in my bedroom (but that’s just because of how the building was designed/built) and so therefore I didn’t renew my lease but otherwise I enjoyed my time at The Highline. It’s a great place to live!

Yes, Highline is very much pet friendly. Parking is not an issue either but it's not free, paid on a monthly basis.
