Clark Mallett Memorial fishing pier

We were in the area and looked up fishing locations and chose Clark Mallett fishing pier because of the 5 star review. I was very disappointed. It is nothing more than a short railed dock with one covered picnic table. A lot of the boards on the dock are loose and curving up, so watch your step. We talked to a couple people fishing there and they said because of all the boats coming through the narrow river/canal area it limited the area that they could cast a line. If you want to just toss a line out, watch boats go by and waste some time, then yeah it's an okay spot. If you want to actually fish, it best to find another location.
