I normally loved rite aid but now they hardly have two pharmacy workers working the whole pharmacy and it takes forever to get your meds, they need to hire more people,..

I just had surgery less than a week ago and my doctor called me in a new prescription at 3 o’clock and I get there 15 minutes till close and the pharmacist answers the window and tells me that my prescription isn’t ready and that I’ll have to come and get it tomorrow because he’s been the only one there since 5 o’clock today. Couldn’t even guarantee that it would be finished early tomorrow. What kind of business are you running? Obviously there’s an internal problem otherwise you guys would be fully staffed. You cannot expect 1-2 people to do a 4-5 person job and expect to keep clients. I’m moving all my Prescriptions to another pharmacy tomorrow because I have a literally been with Rite Aid for less than three months and I have continually had problems at this location. You guys better get your act together or you will no longer have a store there because nobody is going to want to continually put up with this kind of improper customer service.I feel sorry for the people that don’t have a choice but to go to you guys because they don’t have a car like I do to go anywhere else. There is no excuse for this type of business.

Time to sell stock in rite aid. I think they’ve hit bottom. Regional sales leader traveling for work and I found myself in the hospital earlier this weekend, in Dayton. Closest pharmacy to my admit was a Rite Aid on woodman dr..if I could review more than one pharmacy at once I would..but hopefully this will find a place among ears. I called the store, no answer for over an hour, figure yeah they are probably busy, covid and all. So I discharge to my hotel and give em time. I call again and no answer. Showed up and only one lady older than me is working, no staff. And it takes 45 minutes for her to even talk to me because she’s giving a line of people shots. She tells me she won’t have time to do my scripts, maybe two days if they can’t staff, basically go somewhere else, try another rite aid. So I call one on linden ave, they answer after 30 minutes to say no new scripts for the day, covid shots, it’s like noon? So I call 3rd st location. No answer but I’m desperate at this point so I just drive there. No one is working in the pharmacy and long lines everywhere. One after another the pharmacist is calling people in for appointments just like the last place. I asked a patron in line how long he had been waiting and he says over an hour just to check out. Only one person working at three separate locations. Reason I write the review for this store is because it felt unsafe. Never even got to talk to someone here. I walked to the front just to ask a question and a lady in line snapped at me and told me if she didn’t hit the pharmacist she was going to hit me. Wonderful what your friendly neighborhood pharmacies have become. Fractured ribs and no pain meds all weekend.

The only review I’ve ever left. Feel so bad for the poor staff here. Can’t believe corporations do this to hardworking employees. Took my wife for a covid vaccine on a Saturday. Showed up 15 minutes before our appointment. It felt like we walked into a concert hall. At least 30 people crowded the pharmacy yelling at the ONLY 2 employees in the pharmacy. We hesitantly approached the line where it looked like a young male pharmacist was assisting the 4 people in front of us (people were screaming at him over the other vaccine goers). The phone was ringing continuously, it never stopped the whole time we were there—and we were there for quite awhile. We watched as the pharmacist bounced between every window in the large pharmacy at a light jog to do what looked like the work of 6 people. We finally got to the window and the poor guy looked completely defeated, and asked us nicely to bear with him, he was working as fast as he could to get to everyone. The other person working, a sweet older lady had to apologize to every single person that came up saying their prescriptions were not ready, because the pharmacist still had to check them and she couldn’t do anything until he did. We saw her in tears twice in the hour or more that we were there. When the pharmacist finally got us in the room (I’m really not sure even how he was able to tune out the noise and process her shot with all the criticism) he was sweating badly enough that I was actually kind of concerned for sanitation. When he leaned over to give the shot, sweat visibly landed on the table, and I don’t even think he realized it, but I could tell his day was going terribly bad so I didn’t say anything. Meanwhile he kept his composure and was completely genuine. Moral of the story. The upper management and entire corporation should be ashamed. This is unsafe to the public to have one person expected to do so much, while also filling (or not filling) prescriptions. I will be passing this info along to the regulatory agency for pharmacy as well.
