Nice paved trail along the C&D Canal. You can get from old New Castle to Chesapeake City. Bring bug spray, pretty good amount of mosquitoes and flying insects. The views are nice, we saw baby rabbits, maybe a heron?, A fox, and a bunch of Cardinals.

A.C. of E. recently did work on this bridge 2018 but its still a bumpy mess. Beams are all marked up and with concrete missing. They either need to fix it properly or tear it down and rebuild.
