My husband was recovering from an ankle sprain for two weeks. While I have praise for the physical/occupational care, the rest of the staff were, for the most part, difficult to deal with. He was supposed to get showers on Wednesdays and Saturdays, he receive one shower in two weeks. The front desk could not answer any questions, and just referred me to the nursing station, where depending who answered the phone, I could rarely get an answer to my questions. He was supposed to be taken to a doctor"s appointment, and the day of the appointment, it had to be cancelled because of a scheduling mishap. His bed was rarely made and the bathroom was unclean. When he and his roommate asked for someone to clean up the remains of another person's bowel movement, no one responded. Staff were extremely slow in responding to the call button, if at all. Many of the staff just walked past the room without inquiring about what was needed. The room was too small for 2 people, each with a wheelchair. It was dingy and not conducive to healing. My husband was given finger sticks for sugar levels immediately a meal which doesn't make sense. The social worker rarely responded to requests of the patients. It usually took 3 days for her to show up.. I've heard a doctor owns the place. If so he should lose his license. I would never recommend this facility.

Worse mis-managed unorganized trainwreck I have ever seen. I would not put a dead person under their care. Truly Cecil Counties worst ever Nursing Home. Will be submitting multiple complaints. They should be SHUT DOWN!

This nursing home was amazing when my grandmother was there. All the staff was very nice and helped a lot. when my grandmother went on hospice my mother and I stayed up there all hours of the night. The nurses came and checked on us and asked us if we needed anything. The staff treated my grandmother as if she was their grandmother.

I was very skeptical of nursing homes for my mother based off a prior bad experience with a different home. However, Laurelwood was awesome! The CNAs were so attentive and detail oriented. They kept me updated and involved with her day to day activities and explained things in a way in which I understood. The staff made a hard decision and situation easier by just simply caring. Thank you!!
