Great little State Park. Spaces are nice and wide. Definitely not a park for really long rigs. They are a little close together in the utility loop. The bathroom is very old and has old stone charm. There is river access in the park and makes for fun times. I would stay again.

Had a great time visiting in late fall, with colorful leaves covering the ground and some still in the trees. The day use area has multiple covered picnic shelters, one even had a huge stone fireplace and electrical hookups. The loop trails on the other other side of the river were great, walking through multiple tree environments as you ascend through multiple river shelfs. Looking forward to visit this place again when the campground is open in the summer.

Rustic state park and campground with access to the Satsop River and short hiking loop trails. Good for floating down the river in low water season. Fantastic group camp with shelter and electrical outlets.

Family vacation perfection, for any group who thrives in the outdoors! Let's start with the most important point. The restrooms are easy to access, clean, and well maintained, in both the campground and day use areas. Parking is generous, if you are visiting for the day. A Discover Pass, or day parking fee, is required. You can pay for parking by visiting the campground office. There are a multitude of fishing holes, up and down the river. Along the day use and campground stretch, you'll find several points to access the river for a swim, or a float. Wear your sunscreen; many crispy campers were spotted on our recent trip. The forest is lush, with easy hiking trails, that aren't over frequented. Note that burn bans are common, here. Bring a propane grill and/or portable propane or gel fire ring. No sparks allowed. In all, it is one of my favorite friends and family friendly parks!

Utility hookup sites are $40. Primative are $36. $32 for regular sites.
Yes they have shower, water and power at sites with hook ups, not sure about the river being deep for that, stores are in Elma about fifteen miles away
Nope! That's one of the wonderful things about Schafer. No TV reception unless you have a dish. We love having to disconnect from the bloody communication devices.
If you pay for a camp site of any kind you can sleep in whatever you like. You can NOT camp in any car, boat, trailer, tent or blanket in the day use.
Yes there is shower
I'm sorry I don't have that info. You can Google the Washinton Park system and get that info.
Yes,check out Olympic park services.
I have T-Mobile! And I had no problems. I don't know about Verizon cute little Park will worth the day walking around also has a little bit of History to go with it.
A day pass is $10 and can be done at the 3 pay boxes within the park. The discover pass which is a day pass extension for a year, and highly recommend, is $30. I used to work at Schafer.
