My main criticism is that by the end of the transaction my wife and I felt like targets of stereotypical sales strategies. After viewing a couple cars, our salesman came jogging out to us as we were leaving, alerting us to one more great deal he had just heard of from his manager. This single Chevy Bolt, we were told, is to enjoy the special discount of $8400, notably larger than the $5900 cut the others were taking. We viewed it and ended up signing a purchase agreement to hold it for us. It turned out that GM hadn't yet officially released the deal, causing us to wait until two days later to return and finish the transaction. It was then that we learned the $8400 was actually just the standard $5900 PLUS the $2500 state incentive tacked on. This, as my wife put it, felt "slimy," especially as we recalled during our initial signing two days prior our salesman using the fact that "the dealership really isn't making any money" with the $8400 discount to justify a trade-in price on our existing vehicle. In reality, the discount was fronted wholly by GM and the state of Oregon. This process, along with other small things, reminded us of they car sales stereotypes and why we don't buy from dealerships. In bringing this up with our salesman, it was explained as a misunderstanding, that even he was in the dark about the details and was merely conveying what he was told by management. Overall, the process felt disingenuous and a play to "not the the customer leave without a deal," no matter what tactics needed to be used. Another unique experience was anytime I asked a salesman a question, they had to go back and check with their manager. After diving behind a closed door, they would then emerge with some answer, creating this "man behind the curtain" mystique to whoever this answer-giver was. Customers like me have heard the stories of salespeople explaining the tactics behind "let me go ask my manager," so even if this is being done in good faith and integrity, I suggest creating some level of transparency behind this back-and-forth process.

I have a Chevy Volt that I take to this dealership for service. I've been there 3 times and all 3 times were great! The person that helped me was nice and helpful. No surprises. It was always done on time or early. Good communication. Good price. Everyone is professional. I like it so much, I keep bringing my Volt in for service. This is in contrast to my experience at Salem Honda, where I was displeased every time and once the warranty expired I stopped taking my Honda Fit there. My experience at this service department is so positive that it makes me want to buy a Chevy next time just for the service.

I called to have my car serviced for an oil change and tire rotation and Capitol Chevrolet was able to fit me in on the date I requested. The service staff was friendly and courteous and the waiting area warm and comfortable. When the work was completed I informed about the condition of the car and ecorted to the cashier and then escorted out to my car. First class customer care.

Adrian was great as sales. Plus hes a 49er fan which just adds to his greatness. In doing paperwork, was a little put off by having to run credit. I can make assumptions as to why, but not sure why GM financing was used at 4.99 percent when I qualified for 2.99 through MAPS credit union. Was no benefit to me as the customer, was a benefit to GM. Was kind of annoying. Was my only negative thing to say, but was kind of a big one. The gentleman was very nice in all other aspects, especially because my daughter was pretty busy in his office checking stuff out. Shes 3. I would definitely be back, would just make sure I am checking numbers and make sure that I review the numbers. Not sure you will want to post my response, but it is honest. I have spent my 30 year career in customer service / management. Promise, I am not a Karen ;-)

They are great! Follow all guidelines and go the extra mile
No, anyway not at the Cadillac/GM service center. Capitol has several service centers, Subaru, BMW...etc.. perhaps one of those will, however, (from personal experience) I would recommend Atomic Auto in Portland/Vancouver for a Saab
