I grew up in Copan. I went to school in Copan from K-12 — Class of 92. I grew up at the Truck Stop. You can imagine my disappointment when I visited today with my family and was told “you can’t bring your cup in here”. I have a YETI with Pepsi One I take everywhere because no one carries that flavor. Diet Pepsi tastes weird and Pepsi has too much sugar. I thought the waitress was kidding. She told me “no outside food or drinks. There’s a sign on the door”. So the Truck Stop would rather lose $70 from my lunch party than allow me to bring my own drink that they don’t even carry. I will never step foot back in the Truck Stop nor will any of my family. It’s too bad that this is Mrs Chaney’s legacy.

I am a truck driver. I stopped here to eat because of other reviews, and the food looked awesome. I got to the restaurant a few minutes before 4pm. As I was walking up, a lady was at the door. She looked at me and saw that I was walking that way. So I was looking around, and when I approached the door, no one was there. She locked at the door. She could have easily stuck her head out the door or waited for me to get to the door to let me know they closed at 4 instead of looking at me and walking off. That is rude and bad customer service. I would have gladly came back another day when passing through. Now, I am obligated to sit through a 30-minute break without grabbing something to eat and head down the road. I will not stop here again.

Friendly people. Fair prices. Food is great small family like atmosphere. Great place to take kids for a meal or just to get candy at the gas station side. On the gas station side they have an area with local crafts and gifts. Really neat things, seasonal and souvenirs. Neat little stop. They participate in the 100 mile yard sales. We always enjoy going to the sales and getting lunch after. Plenty of parking and gas pumps
