Love the statue but had to wait for approx. 30min to be able to get a picture, as all the parents (and I heard them say that) claimed that this piece of art is made for climbing! It was occupied by min. 10 kids at a time. Was lucky enough that most of the kids belonged to one group and once they left I had like 30sec to get pictures or the statue representing my favorite tale, before other kids jumped on it. I gotta tell you I was really annoyed tbh.

Enter the park at 5th Avenue and 72nd Street. Walk approximately 150 feet. Make a right turn and head down the hill towards the Conservatory Water (toy sailboat pond). The statute is at the opposite end of the pond (approximately 500 ft).
It is the work of Spanish-born sculptor Jose de Creeft (1900-1982). This sculpture was commissioned by George Delacorte for his wife and the enjoyment of the children of New York City I recommend spending time to enjoy Lewis Caroll's whimsical characters White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, and the Cheshire Cat.
