It was early morning at 7:20 a.m. and all of the self checkout stalls were not functional. Needed to stand in line to make purchase. I was short on time and really needed to get going. Thankfully there was only one person in front of me. This review is for the location in Corte Madera.

I know Safeway is Safeway. But I enjoy this Safeway. The store manager is always by the registers. There is rarely a line. And the shelves are not empty.

It's a California casino... what else can I say? Payouts are miniscule and rare enough to know that this is a greedy venue. But it is the only game for 30 miles in any direction so they don't have to play nice. You'd think that they would take cleanliness and security a little more seriously, with all that change to spare.... apparently not even that knocks back the receipts. Is call it just okay... and even then only to play. Any expectation of winning should be checked at the door along with ID....

Safeway has over the years evolved due to pressure. At on time the produce was never organic and there was a pretty unhappy vibe when shopping there. That however has changed in the last couple decades. I appreciate their extended hours to grab something when I am running back home after a day of work in Marin. My favorite location is on the Marina in my hometown SF. They are smaller than most but they treat us like we are family.
