Campground was wooded and had plenty of shade and privacy. We had room for our minivan and our 23 foot (when extended) tent trailer. Vault toilets were clean.

Pioneer is a beautiful place, each one of the sites "feels" cozy, with dense forest cover and the Blacksmith Fork River running so close by. Donna Larsen and her husband Mike are the nicest people. They both made me feel at home there, like long-time friends. Donna loves being a campground host and hopes to be allowed to continue at Pioneer for many more years. She did a great job keeping the restrooms clean and supplied, and coordinating all the campers and reservations. I very much enjoyed my stay there, and plan to return often.

Lovely campground. Well maintained and right by a crisp, clean, lazy river. Lots of shade and only about 15 min away from a grocery store. Loved our stay! Great hosts there as well.

We stayed here for 3 days at the end of June. We found Kathy to be very friendly. The sites are shaded, mostly. Ours (number 11) was a great site in shade most of the day but it did not have direct river access. I recommend choosing a site with direct river access if you can. If you have a camper, your camper may be in the sun for a while but the tent and picnic table areas for every campsite are shaded 100% of the day. Kathy keeps a clean vault toilet area as well which is greatly appreciated.

Most are quite shady. And within reasonable distance to the pit toilets. My personal favorites are 8 & 9 and 17

How do I make reservations?
