Caregivers beware. Me and my 96 y/o client were exposed to covid by an employee of this agency. I took a week off to avoid further exposure and HR refused to apply any of my accrued time off. I’m assuming to be spiteful for having to fill my shift. Sorry, I didn’t ask to get exposed to covid by one of your caregivers. Which meant I had to go a whole week without pay due to no fault of my own. The definition of a hostile and toxic work environment. This same 96 y/o client was dropped by a caregiver within this agency and ended up needing a hip surgery. Terrible experience.

Griswold has met all our needs in the care of my husband. My husband requires 24/7 care. He has a feeding tube and is transferred with the use of a sit to stand lift. The well trained caregivers of Griswold have no issues with with tube feeding or transfers. The caregivers always treat him with respect and dignity. This is very important to me. I would wholeheartedly recommend Griswold of Scottsdale for anyone who needs competent and reliable care for a loved one.

Our caregiver Janet is spectacular. She keeps our mother very happy during these unusual times. We are grateful to have her in our lives and our mother’s life. She is very trustworthy and loyal. Thank you Janet!

The two caregivers that we've had recently were both fantastic. Uvette, who worked M-F, was always on top of everything and texted me immediately if there was a problem that I needed to deal with. I really trusted her ability and her judgement. Shay is so interesting and charming that Mom always wanted to talk to her. She, like Uvette, was really knowledgeable, and I totally trusted her. Mom's circumstances changed, so Uvette and Shay are not coming to Mom's any longer. We have had several caregivers who were not great, but our whole family really liked these two ladies.

Our Golden Rule states that ‘We will not refer a caregiver into your home that we would not welcome into our own home.’ This high bar was set by our founder in 1982 and is the backbone of our mission. Similar to any working professional, caregivers are attracted to organizations that build trust and embody compassion, stability, and hope. We encourage you to meet one of our local Directors and experience how they treat you with as much compassion and dignity as they afford to each caregiver they provide.
Just like nurses and doctors, professional caregivers have chosen a career in compassionate care for those in need. Griswold Home Care implements a proprietary CareAssure Screening System which includes a comprehensive background check and screening for compassion, identity, integrity, and competence. Less than 5% of all applicants meet our stringent screening criteria. In fact, many Caregivers come from word of mouth referrals from other happy clients.
No. Our belief is that independence is being in control of your decisions. Having home care services means being in control of your activities and retaining as much independence as each situation allows. Many of our clients just need a little help to continue living a safe and productive life while some might be recovering from a fall, surgery, or other conditions. Regardless of your situation, our goal is to enable you with the best possible outcome while being in control of your care and daily decisions.
