Great congregation. They do alot for the unhoused community as well as refuges here and abroad. The music is great and there is a nice coffee shop inside. They have been very welcoming to my family. It is the most integrated congregation and church staff I have found.

I feel like I keep being let down by the church in general. I was looking for a church home, newly attending and really liked Ecclesia until Sunday. I even donated thousands of dollars to their ministry already. I am very very sad that a Christian church did not celebrate and praise God for the victory for life of the most vulnerable people in the overturn of Roe v. Wade. I and many Christians have been praying for this day for decades. Instead the message from the pulpit was a solemn, politically-correct message that "this was a complicated week" and "we know some here are not happy with the way things went". The pastor's face was sad. I later asked him if he and the other pastors even believe in the sanctity of life. He said they do; however they decided to give this watered down, lukewarm statement today in an effort to be sensitive to different views. There was no joy in this HUGE victory for God and His precious children. They stole my joy. And probably many others' joy. No wonder people are so confused when even within the church walls there is timidity in celebrating and protecting life. It is stunning actually. I was very open with the pastor. As a young atheistic, naive college woman I myself had an abortion, so I know firsthand the damage that abortion does to women in their soul. Also as a physician, I am scientifically certain that life begins with conception. My life would look completely different if I had had that baby. I may not be a surgeon, or even a doctor, but still I deeply regret that decision to kill my unborn child. It is guilt and shame that never goes away. Even 30 years later. Abortion is a travesty for the child AND the woman. After that depressing statement about the events of the week, the sermon we were given was an exhortation to help the poor and vulnerable, with which I agree wholeheartedly. However if you cannot stand solidly for the protection of the unborn, how can you then stand for the poor? Who is poorer than an unborn child? The church is a place where we CAN have different views on things and come together in Christ. I absolutely agree with that. However if the leadership cannot stand up for life, celebrate this victory and this huge answered prayer, in an effort to be sensitive and politically correct, and affirm what is right and true at this landmark moment in history even when it is very complicated and difficult, then they have become lukewarm, and will confuse people and risk displeasing God

I attended a funeral service at Ecclesia Houston recently and I was very impressed with Paul Randall and his church. They did a wonderful job of performing this service. Kudos to EH!

A truly great experience through and through. The band plays great modern Christian music, with a beautiful violin that blends perfectly with the band. This is a casually dressed type of atmosphere. The walls are decorated with modern art created by very talented local artist. It has a modern art studio vibe. A great church for the whole family, they also have great child care as well. A high level of quality in all areas that this church and church community does. If you are looking for a new church in inner city Houston, this is a must.
