Wish I could rate this shelter 0 stars! I found a dog in Irving and coppell was the closest open shelter and after rejecting the dog they told my mom “would you like to come to the back and select a dog for us to euthanize so that we can take this one?” Staff could not have been more disrespectful. Also said “I don’t know why you’d pick him up if you can’t finish the job” in reponse to her asking what she was supposed to do with him. My family has been long time supporters of this shelter until today. Very clear these people care about themselves more than they care for the well-being of animals.

went up there to buy a kitten and workers are racist and mixed up my family for another mexican family that had lost their cat a couple days ago.. they proceeded to say that my father had been up here days before, telling them that he had lost a cat and wouldn’t hear him out when in reality they were assuming it was him because my dad is mexican and so was this other family they were assuming we were. The other workers proceeded to give attitude to myself as we were ganged up on and then denied us the kitten we were about to adopt. My father called up there and complained and wanted an apology from the racist lady that worked front desk but never got one 😬 never ever going back there and you guys shouldn’t either.

It is a WONDERFUL place, very good attention, very kind people and willing to help the animals and very good orientation to those who go for a pet.

They dont have any huskies. You're unlikely to find a husky at a shelter. You might want to try a rescue.
