I went in to get an estimate on brakes. After the estimate was completed I returned to my truck to find dirty and greasy fingerprints all over my dashboard, steering wheel and glove box. I will not have work done there.

Used Meineke the last 2 years. I came to them because of bad service from Firestone in town. No complaints in 2 years of using them. Never had an issue with the maintenance they performed. I even would recommend them to others in town. Tried to call to set up my upcoming needed oil change. I was told they no longer take appointments. I said that's ok and tried to give them my name for drop off. I then was told that they no longer take names either for any day. That it is now on a first come first serve basis. That "most likely" my car would be completed by day's end. I'm not sure what happened between the beginning of the summer til now but to me this is taking a step back in customer service. I called my friend that uses a different Meinke location exclusively and he's never heard of this policy change before and has always set up appointments for his vehicles. To me, telling a customer No Appointments does not really value your time. The location essentially now has become a Jiffy Lube. Not that there's anything wrong with JL but I prefer having the freedom to choose when I want to get the oil change. I cannot spend all day thinking to myself "is the car going to get done today? who knows because the people answering the phone don't know either" When I got home. I logged on the computer and went to PepBoys. Pepboys gives you the option to set up appointments online or by phone. If by online, you can still select a time slot that works. Being able to do that I value a lot and I'll update Pepboys with a review at the conclusion of the service. I gave Meinke 2/5 Stars instead of 1 only because I never had an issue before with them and I valued their service as one of the better places to go in Dover. Hopefully, policies change back in the future and I'd be glad to reconsider going back **Edit Update. Pepboys Appt went VERY SMOOTH! I showed up on time and the car was in the bay within 3 minutes of handing over the keys. Tom the guy at the desk very helpful. Gave me a coupon and showed me a rebate with Pennzoil. Nearly 50% savings total which was awesome. Oil Change and tire rotation took about 75 min. They recommended other minor repairs but did not push them. Very glad to see great customer service
