(horrible customer service) I don't believe in giving reviews to put others down, but more so to help give them an insight to do better. So, hopefully what I am about to say is to educate and that you take what I have to say into consideration. .... When I first called, I ask her if I can come in for a consultation. She was laughing and joking in the background while talking to me. (unprofessional). But, I thought she was nice enough to invite me to stop by the same day. I came in at around 5:15 pm and I told her that I needed to be home at 9:00 pm and would she be able to finish my hair on time so I can leave around 8:30 pm? Because I don't live in Buffalo. She said "oh yea, I have two people in front of you, but I will definetily have all of you out of here way before 9:00 pm. I thought, wow. Great. While waiting and watching her do another clients hair, She have the nerve to suggest me to go across the store to buy another jar of loc product and than say "Just to give you something to do". (huh?). I ignored the suggestion. Than I got hungry and decided to leave out to grab something to eat, she asked me if I was going to subway. I said no, I'm just going to buy some chips. She says "grab me a bag of lays while you at it". I'm standing there like I know she's not asking me to buy her some lays? Than slowly hands me money due to me just looking at her in a funny way. I get back and she didn't put my head in the bowl until about 8:05 pm. I thought maybe she would be done soon. Under the dryer, another client told me that it was 8:22 pm because I left my phone in the car to charge. I was thinking now I have to cancel all 4 of my classes that I teach at home as an online teacher. There is no way I would make it home on time. My job ended up deducted $40 out of my pay for short notice Teacher cancellation. I told her about the cancellations and she still charged me the same price. $85 for a retwist plus $10 for I guess clipping my ends. The app had taxes and the total was $98.00. My hair ended up looking nice, okay. I didn't leave the place until around 10:00 pm. But, honestly I do not believe $98 was deserving due to her services and professionalism. Although, my hair turned out nice, the way you presented yourself to a new client was a big turn off. Having a business in the hood is no excuses of your unprofessionalism. Lost client! Anyways, heres a picture for anyone who doesn't care of how she treats you. But, just care about their hair. #dreads

While this happened awhile ago I have been procrastinating on writing this well needed review. This was back when the shop was on Bailey so i’m unsure on how much improvement was made over time. During my first appointment I consulted the stylist about the design and hair. Instead of purchasing the hair before hand she took me across the street to purchase the hair. I found this odd but went along. Not to mention she was already a half an hour late without any notice or regard for myself (as i had been standing outside alone). When I was initially getting my hair done she took many breaks… and i mean many. As i can recall she took about 5 or maybe more. All while leaving me in the seat by myself in the shop. On top of that she forced me to pay even though my hair was not even half way done. I looked at her and she said “i’m waiting for your payment” but this was after she took many breaks, left me alone, was late and was not even close to finished yet. I obliged and gave her the payment (now looking back i should’ve said i would have preferred to wait till she was done) and after she took the payment she took ANOTHER break which was about 20 minutes. Again everyone needs a break I understand but this elongated my process by HOURS, on top of that she did not give me a notice. She also claimed my hair was dirty” even though I explained to her 1.) i washed and blow dried my hair 3 days in advanced and 2.) I have a skin condition that affects my scalp. Regardless she called my hair dirty a good three times after the fact. After my hair was finished it looked nothing like the reference photo i gave her….. I feel the need to write this review because the professionalism was lacking. She was rude, inconsiderate and her work did not match what i wanted at all. While this happened awhile ago I would not recommend anyone to go and get their hair braided. As these faults are not only that of professionalism but that of someone’s character. 0/10
