I had a lumbar fusion and artificial disk implanted back in 2010. Still 100% pain free in 2022! Best decision ever! Dr. Blumenthal gave me my life back! Best in the country! AAA+++

Dr. Peter Derman recommended a discectomy to remove disc material that was putting pressure on my right Femoral nerve between L4 and L5. The surgery was a tremendous success. He did microscopic surgery that removed about 5% of the disc. Prior to surgery, I had 3 spinal steroid shots which helped reduce my pain but did not solve my problem. Before surgery, due to the leg pain, I was restricted on how far I could walk, how long I could stand, and my sleeping was spotty. I was nervous about having surgery on my spine, but it turned out to be the right decision. The surgery was about an hour, and I left the surgery center 90 minutes later after coming to from anesthesia. I have a half inch scar on the right side of my lower back, and I had some movement restrictions for about six weeks. Today, I can do everything I did before my disc problem occurred. In my opinion, Dr. Derman's work miracles.

TBI is one of the worst to business with. Dr’s are great but it’s impossible to get in touch with my dr when I need him. They put you on hold for 15 plus minutes and disconnect. They ask you to send a text for faster response, no one get back to for 2 or 3 days. I have nothing against the dr’s, but the practice in whole sucks!

So glad I found DR. Rashbaum! After suffering with incapacitating back pain for 4 years, I saw him and got the missing piece of information needed to start treatment and recovery when he diagnosed me with sacroiliac joint disorder. It’s too bad I didn’t find him 40 years earlier! What a difference that would have made.

I see your ads on TV about 1 inch opening. Is this on all back surgeries or just some. Do put patient to sleep for back surgery? Thanks in advance

charles willis | Oct 20, 2019
James Dean | Oct 20, 2019

The 1 inch incision does not apply to every back surgery, the length of the incision depends on the surgical procedure being performed on the individuals back & as far as I know the patient is placed under anesthesia but the most accurate answer would come from the surgeon,I can tell you that"Texas Back Institute"is a Top Notch facility & I would definitely recommend TBI if you have a need for surgery as I was a former patient,Tiger Woods & John Travolta were patients of"Texas Back Institute"so that ought to say something about the High Quality Care of Texas Back Institute, hope this response helped.
