The Redevelopment Authority cleared a square block of campus businesses, including Pagano's Italian Restaurant because Penn promised to build on the site. But our too-clever-by-half University of Walmart turned the gift property into a huge, very expensive parking-lot whose staff packed-in more cars than capacity; pocketed the extra; often $60 a day, what was then serious money. The Redevelopment Authority, impatient with all the excuses, hit Penn with a $600,000 fine. The Inn At Penn went up, almost overnight, to appease the city. Construction was so shoddy, the building failed inspection, had to close until a massive $5.2 million more was spent to make rooms fit for human inhabitation. Evidently, by the complaints, The Inn At Penn is doing to guests what the university does to the city. "Sure I cost more," cooed Kelly Le Broc, actress shilling cosmetics, "but I'm worth it." Mebbe she was; mebbe The Inn aint.

Beautiful hotel, nice check-in. Room service, breakfast. Brotherly love indeed! Will be returning if I’m ever in town for longer. Came for work but love it

Great service from the valets "louis" goes above and beyond. Hes the reason i gave four stars instead of three. Our room however had the faint smell of fish i let the front desk know, they offered to move us but we had already unpacked everything so we CHOSE to stay there my wife had some citrus spray that helped. Restaurants in the hotel were so overpriced it was sad.

Hi Ted, our building was completed in the late 90's and we started accepting guests in August of 1999. We're thrilled to have been serving the Penn community and many other travelers to Philadelphia for over 20 years now.
About 6 blocks.
Valet parking is offered at our main entrance. The day rate is $22 (+ Philadelphia's parking tax of 22.5%) and the overnight rate is $45 (+ Philadelphia's parking tax of 22.5%). There are self-parking alternatives in the neighborhood, but these are not affiliated with our hotel and some do not offer in/out privileges or 24-hr. access to your vehicle.
We're very close to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Each is walkable, and the driving times for each (per Google) are listed below: Penn Presbyterian Medical Center: 3 minutes Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania: 5 minutes Children's Hospital: 7 minutes
Hello Kevin, No, our valet service does not have access to EV chargers. There is a self-parking public garage one block from our location at 38th/Walnut that does have a few: Walnut 38 Garage 119 S. 38th Street (215) 898-8667 Please note that this garage is not operated by The Inn at Penn, does not honor in-and-out privileges, and does not offer 24-hour accessibility. Their hours of operation: 6:30am–11:00pm.
We can be found at Dayuse.com by searching by location (Philadelphia).
Hello David, our Superior Rooms and Corner Suites have microwaves but our standard rooms do not.
Hello Carol, we do have a patient discount. Please contact our Reservations Manager, Kenyatta Thompkins, at 215-823-6240. Thank you!
The Hotels is actually 4 and a half blocks from the Hotel. at 33rd and South Street
We don't offer a shuttle but cabs are readily available as are Uber & Lyft.
I'm not sure what you're referring to but University City is a safe area.
Not super close. Half hour walk or a 10 min drive. This hotel is in university city while the union league is in center city
Accessible rooms are available in the Rooms & Suites section of our website: https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/pennsylvania/the-inn-at-penn-a-hilton-hotel-PHLIDHH/accommodations/accessible.html
Yes they do. It should be in your room when you arrive and you should get a new bottle (I believe 2) every morning when your room is cleaned.
