I've been getting my welding supplies from Roberts Oxygen for 16 years. I delt with Eric at the Rockville location for a long time and had wonderful service. I didn't think it could get any better, until I moved closer to Frederick. The Frederick location is run by Derek and this guy is on point. Derek has this location working like a well-oiled machine....he always knows what he has in stock, what he can order for me, suggestions to make my job a little easier, new products that will be in-store soon, support products for just about any machine a typical welder would be using, etc. As well, I've never seen this location in disarray. This place is impeccably clean each and every time I walk in. Everything seems to always be in its intended place. Did I mention this guy has a personality? This is something that is missing from just about every small business today. If you can't connect with your customer base on the most basic level, they're not likely going to be long term repeat customers. People want to enjoy the companies (the people) they interact with. Derek and the Frederick location should be the "Flagship" location for how a Roberts Oxygen location should be operated. Remember, I've been in the welding industry for 16 years so I've seen the spectrum of Welding supply houses out there. If anyone from management in the Roberts Oxygen Company ever reads these reviews, go down to the Frederick location, take notes on how Derek operates his location and then let him go train every other location or move him up in the organization. This guy has way more talent than he's be given responsibility for.

I called Roberts to order some stuff for my client. I was on hold for 10 minutes before I could talk to somebody. Transferred me back and forth. Finally a lady name Barbara helped me out, get my order in quick! I was on the phone for 28 minutes to order some tubing. Horrible experience!

Yes, we do sell dry ice. You should bring a container with you to carry the dry ice home.
Hi Ben, We don't limit what we sell based on whether you're an individual or a company. Cylinders up to 80 cubic feet can be purchased outright and then exchanged for full ones when you need more. Larger cylinders up to 300 cubic feet are available only for rent from us.
This location is not open on Saturday. Our location on Caton Avenue in Baltimore, MD is open Saturday from 7:30am until 1pm.
Please call the store to ensure we have dry ice available before heading over. We manufacture and sell pelletized dry ice in this market, price is $3.21/lb with price breaks for larger quantities. Large quantities of dry ice block may be available upon request.
Yes, we do sell food grade CO2 cylinders in a variety of sizes. Call the store for more details.
No, we do not refill SodaStream cannisters

For cylinders that are 20lb or less we will exchange your empty cylinder for a full one. We do fill larger customer owned cylinders, but not at this location. The CO2 we sell is beverage/ingredient grade and meets quality control standards for use in soda/beer dispensing applications and other uses.

Hi Kyle, we exchange large oxygen and acetylene cylinders rented from us, or small cylinders owned by you. We cannot exchange cylinders rented from other companies.
We sell small oxygen cylinders up to 80cft. Larger cylinders are only available for rent.
