1981 as a dancehall, but it has a long and interesting history beginning as an open-air cattle storage area in the early 1920s
There are free dance lessons on Thursdays.
I've enjoyed two wonderful concerts. With no probs even brought my children. Awesome experience
Sunday -Tuesday: $2 admission till close (excluding special events) Wednesday & Thursday: $2 before 7 pm, $5 after 7 pm (excluding special events) Friday & Saturday: $2 before 5 pm.
Billy Bob Barnett, a Texas A&M University graduate and professional football player, teamed up with nightclub owner and former car salesman, Spencer Taylor. While looking for a location to fit their idea, the men decided upon an abandoned 100,000-square-foot department store that was at one time an open-air cattle barn. With some additional investors, Barnett and Taylor renovated the building's interior and exterior and opened the place to the public on April 1, 1981
I’ve been going since I was a child I rode the bull and saw a show at four you’re fine!
Daily admission is $3 Nightly admission is $5 unless there is a concert or special event, then price varies depending on the show. Hope to see you soon
Casual. Jeans, boots, no spurs.
Yes from Noon to at least 10 pm
No, but there are sanitizer stations around and a few people were wearing masks.
Call me crazy, but this feels like not a real question about the venue. Good luck with kid rock.
I'm not sure but it might be a great concert for his fans
Hello Craig Yes they do have a dance floor for dancing your little heart away. As I do when I go to the concert's. Hopefully this answered you're question. Have a great day be safe😊
Yes
Yes Bellamy Brothers are playing right now.
I believe it was at 11 when they open
Billy Bob's Texas has been in the same location since it opened 4/1/81 before that it was an airplane factory, live stock corral, and an open air barn which it was originally built for.
Most motorcycle parking is up by the main entrance/valet door. I believe it is $5-$10 for parking depending on the time and events happening that day/time.
If you have seats it is pretty easy to see and take pictures
Depending on the section you are seated in. Section a has 18 seats per table section b has 16 per table section c has 14 and 8 seats per table. D-f have 16 seats per table. The tables are 3.5 feet apart so it can be a little tight sometimes but all in all its a very large venue. It also has SRO general admission on the sides and back of the seating area and of course the dance floor. The entire venue holds 3000 people max. But a really good concert sells about 2800.
What is the age policy at Billy Bob’s? Billy Bob’s is a family-friendly entertainment facility. However, we do serve alcohol and must abide by all applicable state and local laws. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to enter our establishment at any time. Minors must remain within arms length of parent or legal guardian at all times while on the premise. Individuals 18 and older are always welcome with a VALID government-issued ID. Acceptable forms of identification include a state-issued driver’s license or ID card, military ID, or international Passport. A student ID is not an acceptable form of identification.
Parking is not free. Parking is only 10 bucks though during concerts.
There is more to Billy Bob's than just the main stage with concerts that begin at 10:30 PM. Every time I have gone there, there were smaller, lesser known groups singing on a smaller stage before and after the main event. They sing by a square stage where people dance. It is certainly worth a try to get ahold of management to get a booking.
Didn't see a Shooting Range Saloon.
Yes
Although its a great venue, its often gets loud and crowded here. Definitely would recommend a friend or baby-sitter
Great atmosphere, food is terrific,
Uber or Lyft. Better option. We've done it. You have to pay to park anyway. Why not relax and let someone else drive?
I wouldn't recommend bringing a service dog here, but it should be okay.
No
Does Billy Bob's have a mechanical bull? Contrary to what many people believe, we do NOT have a mechanical bull- not even when we first opened in 1981! We have always had live professional bull riding. We prefer the real thing. FAQ - Billy Bob's Texasbillybobstexas.com › connect › faq Originally asked question was rhetorical to highlight Google venue description error. Venue themselves (FAQs above) say they've never had a mechanical bull.
We went on a Saturday night. I don't know. They only have one very small smoking area in the whole place. I didn't like that because I am disabled
I wouldn't know about that you might have to call and ask.
Unless you actually work there... most attire is acceptable on the premises.
Ah sorry I don't know about that
$2 during the day before 7pm $5 during the evening between 7pm-2am unless there is a special event in which case each event charges different prices.
Yes in the parking lot you pay for parking there.
Alot of times you can buy tickets to the big concerts at the door.
Accompanied by a parent
It's just called a pit concert when all the tables are removed from in the lower stage area.
No! It is all ages. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Billy Bob's sells ga tickets for $15-$45 on their website... other sites bump up the fees and add hidden fees. Also if you buy from another site you may not actually be buying the seats you want or at all.
Parking is $5.00
My seats are C20 4 and 11
Yes. We brought our 2 year old son with us and had a great time. We were there approx 630p - 9p on a Saturday and it was quite enjoyable. The crowd seemed to pick up after 8pm.
If you live in Texas and dont listen to country every once in a while then you AINT texan
I would give them a call if I were you 😏
I would say probably so but find out for sure by giving them a call😏
Yes the will be, usually theres a concert. But as the other guy suggested I'd call as well.

18 years old and older can come into Billy Bob's Texas with a proper ID, without a guardian. Go to Billy Bob's Texas website and go to frequently asked questions and the age policy is stated in those Questions & Answers. Have fun at Brett Young Show.
Yes
Yes buy in advance if for a concert but to go and dance pay as like every other club. It's a nice big place
Billy Bob’s Texas opened April 1, 1981 with national attention featuring Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers as the first performers. Other artists who appeared during opening week included Waylon Jennings, Janie Fricke, and Willie Nelson.
Probably $15, but you should check their website
Look up their website they have it on the good luck
The Cover charge will vary on who and if there is a live performance that night. Check the website and buy ahead of time if you're thinking about going to a concert at Billy Bobs over the weekend.
That's the turnpike Troubadors.
Ok some answers here that say yes you can be under 18 are half right. You have to be 18 years old to get into this establishment per there unchangeable rules. However there are two different ways to get in under 18 and that is if you have your state ID and your legal guardian are with you at the same time. You have to prove the adult with you is your guardian in fact. State Ids with same last name suffice. Also Of your married at under 18 and you have your husband with you, and can prove so with the same method.
Yes, if you take her there before 8 p.m. it is really nice inside. There's a $2 cover charge which is not bad considering what you get to see and do
You don't need reservations other than hotel stock yards is always open and lots to do in the immediate vicinity, I'd recommend staying right at the historic stockyards hotel where everything will be in walking distance.
Not cheap. Plus you need to consider the cover charge.
I believe Fort Worth but we have a small Billy Bobs in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. Our Billy Bobs is about the size of the building they host the bull riding in 🙈
Center and/or further back. Would be optimum.
If you are talking about Cooper's BBQ next door it opens @ 11am.
Basically gets you admission into billy bobs and you can stand anywhere. They sell premium seats in the center middle... they're elevated so they can see over the crowd. General admission has room to stand in front of the stage, and all along the sides of the general admission floor. There is a dance floor and some seats behind the premium seating, but those fill up fast and people don't move from them all night.
Parking is available for free except for event days and/or nights. Live music with a house band is every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Parking is free on most Wednesdays and Thursday unless there is a special event. Friday an Saturday you will have to pay.
During what I'd call typical 'lunch' hours (approx. 11:30 am - 1:30 pm), admission is $2 or free with military ID. But Billy Bob's admission policy is so variable, it's worth quoting in its entirety. From their website: "The admission prices to Billy Bob’s vary during the week based on special events, but the typical admission prices are as follows: Sunday -Tuesday: $2 admission till close (excluding special events) Wednesday & Thursday: $2 before 7 pm, $5 after 7 pm (excluding special events) Friday & Saturday: $2 before 5 pm."
They recently changed their purse policy. No shopping bags, back packs or large purses. My wife and I go there every week and she carries a small purse that measures 6" x 8" with no problem.
They did not charge us anything to enter.
Show room ? There is a little stage . .then the main stage behind it . Might be a show room by the bull riding .
There is typically a concert every Saturday night. (Main artist usually begins around 10:30pm)
I would call, I'm sure they would understand.
Yes if you purchase a ticket to a concert you also have access to any of the bar stations (at your cost), the gift shop, restraunt etc.
