The ladies here do their best to help not only businesses but the community as a whole. They take great care of their businesses and visitors. They sometimes take the brunt of complaints that belong to specific organizations but they do so in stride. Love the events they put on (Peach Festival, Christmas Parade, Christmas on the Square) and the appreciation events they do for teachers, local first responders and more. The ladies are active on many boards and help most (if not all) the local nonprofits that serve the community.

Shipping Freedom

After reading what these people did to a veteran who served his country I will never even attempt at joining this organization. I was thinking about it a few years ago with my business and I am very glad that I never did. Anyone who has this much disrespect for veterans in need will never be a professional partner and ally of mine. I would also look up what businesses are members to this file organization and boycott every last one of them.

DON'T EVER JOIN THIS ORGANIZATION. Why anyone would even consider joining a heartless organization like this is beyond me. I am a military veteran who was diagnosed with voice box cancer last year and have fallen on hard times. I tried to reach out to the chamber of commerce for help unifying me with local businesses in the community that might be willing to help me get back on track. Peggy was the person I was told to talk to. She is cold and heartless. She refused to allow me to finish a sentence when I went in there to talk to her in person. She flat out told me in a very disrespectful way that I needed to go get help from the VA. She literally refused to let me actually explain to her what I was trying to do. After a few attempts of trying to explain to her what I was trying to do and being met with interruptions and disrespect each time I attempted to explain what I was doing, I came to the conclusion that she just wanted nothing to do with trying to help a veteran in the Weatherford community and she just wanted me to leave. I have never in my life been shown that much disrespect from someone as a veteran and that says a lot coming from someone who is used to dealing with people's attitudes and power trips within the VA system. STAY AWAY FROM PEGGY AND FROM THIS ORGANIZATION.
