If you are looking to do anything more than cash a simple payroll check or perhaps deposit cash during open business hours than this bank is not for you. The majority of the ATMs do not accept deposits whether check or cash. Also, their notaries are quite worthless and have terrible attitudes. Maybe this is not true for all their branches but it is certainly the truth for the brach at Walnut & Garland Road inside the Krogers grocery store. I went two weeks ago to have a document notarized along with my Son and they refused to notarize the document although I have been banking with them a year and a half. It was a simple affidavit. Secondly, I found myself back at the bank just yesterday trying to deposit a check my Son had received as an inheritence. Now mind you it was for deposit only. I wasn't trying to cash it or take any monies out on it. Just simply deposit it and allow it to clear. The same woman who refused to notarize the documents stated "we do not take third party checks". My minor Son was there with me as well. Along with his birth certificate and social security card. And a signed affidavit proving he is indeed whom he is. This is the same affidavit we tried to have notarized at this exact branch two weeks ago. Subsequently, had to go to three UPS stores where they have notaries to get it done properly. Their notaries are the bomb. The first two UPS stores did not have notaries present on Saturday afternoons or they were at different locations. Anyway to make a very long story a bit shorter they would not allow me to deposit my Son's check into my account. Even though they could have legally done this it was well within their legal parameters. I looked this up online and researched their policy. It states FNBT will accept third party checks. For those of you who do not know when a check is made out to someone else. Particularly a child you used to be able to have the child sign the back of the check than write Pay To The Order Of (name name) underneath their signature. Sign your own name underneath and deposit. They chose to not participate in something they advertise online as being able to do. On the other hand FCB does not accept third party checks. The bank I am referring to has flown it's corporate flag under both entities since I have been patronizing them. I just wanted to make people aware of what kind of people not so much bank you are dealing with at this location. Maybe if I had been Spanish or African American it would have played out differently for me. But I am neither. I had honestly hoped and prayed as Americans we had moved long past discrimination because of race, sex, creed or color. Also past profiling because of long hair or tattoos. Here's hoping and praying for a better tomorrow. Please I implore you educate your children today. We are all people and belong to one race. The human race. We all bleed when you cut us deeply.
