I have had close friends chose Stonefield Assisted Living for those family members and have been very pleased of the care received. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff, and getting to know them. The weekend staff that I have met are compassionate, kind, caring, and have a great skill set, they treat the residents as a beloved family member. The staff work incredibly hard without complaints, always with a smile. Bless the wonderful CNA’s and staff. I’m very thankful for the love and care they provide.

Stonefield is great. They are loving, compassionate, and very involved with their residents. You couldn’t ask for a better or safer place. My mom has been here for a year; assisted living and now memory care. We saw Stonefield years ago; when we saw it again it was clear that the new admin team and staff had made major changes. The facility is warm and inviting; the staff are all happy, out & about, and easily approachable. The residents are happy and welcoming. Residents aren’t happy unless they like where they are living. The food is great and the chef pays attention to what the residents eat. He holds monthly meetings with the residents to solicit input regarding current meals and ideas for future meals. There is a variety of enriching activities. The Activities Director is very involved. A lot of thought, care, & skill goes into conceiving, planning, and executing each one. When I met my mom’s caregiver, I could tell how much she loved her residents and her job. She took great care of my mom. After she was no longer working as a caregiver she still watched and helped. During my mom’s move to memory care, she kept in contact with me even though I had never asked her to. She took extra care to ensure that my mom was comfortable and not afraid of the change. All the staff know the residents. In addition to doing their regular jobs, you will often find everyone either helping a resident in general, helping with meals, joining in on activities, etc. I mean everyone – the Director, Memory Care Director, entire front office team, Maintenance Director, Activities Director, nurse, med techs, caregivers, housekeeping staff. It is obvious that they do this because they care. Think “doing a job just to make a living” versus “doing a job that is a part of fiber of who you are”. They are the second version. This is not “just a job” for them. When I was worried about my mom’s decline (her ability to thrive and partake in what the assisted living side had to offer) the Director talked with me for a long time. She takes the time to send me photos and videos of my mom partaking in activities & socializing. I would never have been able to observe this myself. The nurse communicates any concerns she or her staff have. She is responsive to concerns we have or care my mom needs. Her entire team is engaged and willing to talk with you. They are very hands on which was a nice change for us. My mom’s move to memory care (MC) was done by the Maintenance Director (along with her original caregiver). He knew her so well that he knew what was important to her. When I saw her room after the move, it was like walking into a miniature version of my childhood home. Everything that was important to her was there and arranged beautifully (furniture, art work, photos, etc.). One day my mom said “This one is the best. It feels like home.” This is a testament to his moving job (and how the entire MC team has made her feel). He was able to do this because he is very involved with the residents. He not only quickly attends to their maintenance needs but he is involved in who they are as people in their day to day lives. This MC team has been together for years. They love what they do and are a cohesive team. They are very knowledgeable and skilled. When the MC Director was showing us around, and a resident walked by, she reached out and helped or greeted them. She addressed them by name and she helped in a gentle, non-intrusive, manner that was unique to the needs of that person. The day my mom moved, she texted to let me know that my mom was there, settled, and doing well. The MC Director has continued to let me know how my mom is adjusting. When we went to visit my mom after her move to MC, my mom’s caregiver greeted us; she knew who we were. She has sought us out often to communicate and strategize on ways to help my mom. She has my mom’s comfort and well-being foremost in her mind and my mom now trusts her implicitly. My mom has started to thrive again now that she is in memory care; both from the care and from the enriching environment.

That staff shows an enthusiasm and eagerness to their care of the residents. You can feel the happiness in the staff and residents. Beautiful facility. Decor and cleanliness.
